The Best Outing Ever – Washington Park

Monday is my Gotcha Day. Mom has to work Monday so we celebrated today! For my Gotcha Day celebration, I had the furry best outing ever today. I went to a park I’ve never been to before. It’s called Washington Park. If you live anywhere in or near Denver you just have to go to this park. It’s the best place I’ve ever been to (besides home of course). It has a several paths through the park for walking and biking, a bunch of lakes, peddle boat and bike rentals, tennis courts, basketball courts, games tables, picnic places, a gazebo, and rec center with a pool, everything! We walked through the whole park! I even got to get out of my stroller and play in the crunchy leaves. And you know how I never eat or drink when I’m in the stroller? Well, today I surprised Mom and ate some treats! I even met some cute little doggies. We took lots of pictures!

Did you see me down on the ground playing in the leaves? They smelled good and were nice and crunchy underfoot. The only bad part about today is this park is pretty far from the house. We had to go in a car to get there. But it was sooooo worth it. I wish we lived near such a nice park instead of having to drive to it. But even though we have to go in the car, I can’t wait to go there again.

  3. WOW Pumpkin – you are one lucky kitty to get to go to dat nice park. Great pictures. You looked like you were having so much fun rolling around in the leaves too. I like doing dat too. I just don’t like it too much when I has to wear dat harness thingy. Oh well, guess we’re stuck there – both of us.

    • I’ve never been on a long car ride. I’ve only been on rides less than an hour. Sometimes I meow, sometimes I’m quiet, sometimes I sleep. I meowed most of the way to the park. I was tired after being in the park and playing in the leaves, so I mostly napped on the way home.
